The Earl of Northesk died

David Carnegie, the 14th Earl of Northesk, died on March 28, 2010.

He leaves behind his wife, Jacueline Carnegie, Dowager Countess of Northesk, and 3 daughters, Lady Sarah, Lady Fiona and Lady Sophie Carnegie. His son, Alexander Carnegie, Lord Roshill, killed himself on August 31, 2001.

The Earl was succeeded by his distant relative, Patrick Carnegy, 15th Earl of Northesk.

The body of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed al Nahayan of Abu Dhabi was found today. The plane of the Sheikh crashed last Friday, March 26, 2010.

Divorce for Prince Hamzah and Princess Noor of Jordan

TRH Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein and Princess Noor of Jordan are divorced. The Prince and Princess have a daughter, HRH Princess Haya of Jordan.

Princess Noor was born HRH Princess Noor bint Asem of Jordan, a title and style she will now use again. (Instead of HRH Princess Noor Hamzah of Jordan.)

Christening of Eliane van Vollenhoven

Today, March 28, 2010, Eliane Sophia Carolina van Vollenhoven was christened in the chapel of Palace Het Loo, National Museum in Apeldoorn, by Dr. A. van der Meiden, theologian and former professor of communication studies.

Eliane is the daughter of TH Prince Floris and Princess Aimée of Oranje-Nassau, van Vollenhoven. The Princely couple has another daughter, Magali van Vollenhoven.

The Godparents of Eliane are HH Prince Maurits of Oranje-Nassau, van Vollenhoven, HRH Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Parma, Duchess of Guernica, Marquise of Sala, Hans Söhngen and Ike de Rooij-van Haaren.

The plane of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed al Nahayan of Abu Dhabi crashed. The pilot was rescued and was in good health, but the Sheikh has not been found.

Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, and Bianca, Lady Eliot, born Bianca Ciambriello, are engaged.

Earl Spencer was first married to Catherine Victoria Lockwood. They have 3 daughters, Lady Kitty Spencer, Lady Eliza Spencer and Lady Katya Spencer, and 1 son, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp.

Marquess Alfonso and Marquise Elisabeth Pallavicini, Countess D'Udekum D'acoz, had their second child and first son, Marquess Adalberto Pallavicini, in 2010.

The couple was already parents to Marquise Olimpia Pallavicini, born in June 2008.

Marquise Elisabeth is the sister of HRH Princess Mathilde of Belgium, the Duchess of Brabant, Countess D'Udekum D'acoz. Princess Mathilde is the wife of HRH Prince Philippe of Belgium, the Duke of Brabant, and with that the future Queen of the Belgians. The couple have 4 children, HRH Princess Elisabeth, HRH Prince Gabriel, HRH Prince Emmanuel and HRH Princess Eléonore of Belgium.

Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg expects 1st child

HSH Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and her fiancé, Alexander Johannsmann, are expecting their first child in July 2010.

Princess Nathalie is the youngest daughter of HSH Fürst Richard and HRH Fürstin Benedikte of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Princess of Denmark.

The wedding of the Princess and Alexander will take place in 2011, but not in the winter.

Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein of Jordan and Sara Qabbani are engaged

HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein of Jordan and Sara Qabbani are engaged.

Prince Faisal was previously married to HRH Princess Alia of Jordan. The Princess was allowed to keep her title and style after the divorce. Together they have 4 children, HRH Princess Ayah, HRH Prince Omar, and the twins, HRH Princess Sara and HRH Princess Aisha of Jordan.

Prince Faisal is the son of the late HM King Hussein of Jordan and HRH Princess Muna of Jordan. (The former Antoinette Gardiner). Princess Muna was the second wife of King Hussein. The couple divorced in 1971.

HRH Duchess Fleur of Württemberg, Countess of Goëss, and the High born Count Moritz of Goëss are expecting their 3rd child in July 2010.

The couple are already parents to the High born Count Zeno and the High born Countess Flaminia of Goëss.

Sheikha Hind is the daughter of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.

In Qatar, only the Emir, his spouse(s), the Crown Prince, and his spouse(s) are entitle to the style of His or Her Highness. The other children of the Emir, spouses of the sons of the Emir, other members of the ruling family and the spouse(s) of the male members of this family are entitled to the style of His or Her Excellency.
